FLOODING IN THE VILLAGE OF LISLE
Village of Lisle is a small, nice, and quiet town of Dupage County, IL. The total population is about 23,000. Just two days ago, it was almost submerged under water.
A rainfall, unprecedented in the past 20 years in recorded history of the Village of Lisle, has crippled some of the activities of the town during the past 24 hours. Power outages, fire and significant property damage are some of the effects. Overnight rain totals around 3 to 5 inches forced many streets closures on Thursday and Friday. Several main roads were closed like U.S. Route 34 and Illinois Route 53.Almost all the houses in the Lisle area have lost power due to the flooding. The residents in some suburbs are being forced to evacuate their homes. Flooding caused traffic delays and caused the police and fire department to activate the Emergency Operations Plan.
The Mayor of Lisle and the Board of Lisle CUSD (Community Unit School District) 202, and the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District (or Board of Trustees and the Board of Fire Commissioners) cancelled all classes and school activities for Thursday – Friday, April 19 – 20, 2013.
Even after the rain, the Village of Lisle is still as beautiful. Hopefully, tomorrow will be great day for everyone.

LŨ LỤT Ở LÀNG LISLE
Lisle là làng nhỏ, đẹp và yên tĩnh của quận Dupage thuộc tiểu bang Illinois. Tổng dân số Lisle khoảng 23.000. Chỉ sau hai ngày, nó gần như chìm trong mưa.
24 giờ qua, lượng mưa chưa từng có trong 20 năm qua trong lịch sử Lisle, đã làm tê liệt một số hoạt động của thành phố. Mất điện, hỏa hoạn và thiệt hại tài sản đáng kể. Lượng mưa đêm gần 3 tới 5 in khiến nhiều đường phố chính bị đóng như đường 34 – 53 vào ngày thứ Năm và thứ Sáu. Hầu hết các ngôi nhà trong khu vực Lisle đã bị mất điện do lũ lụt. Các cư dân ở một số khu vực lũ buộc phải sơ tán. Lũ lụt gây ra trì trệ giao thông. Cảnh sát và xe cứu thương, xe cứu hỏa liên tục làm việc theo kế hoạch Hoạt Động Khẩn Cấp của làng.
Thị trưởng Lisle và Ban lãnh đạo đơn vị Trường học Cộng đồng 202 cùng đơn vị chữa lửa ban lệnh đóng cửa tất cả trường học và các hoạt động trong ngày thứ Năm và thứ Sáu (18-19/04/2013). Sau khi mưa lũ, thị trấn Lisle vẫn đẹp tranh.
